Hungry Mother State Park
I'm at New Market Viginia for a couple of days. I passed Hungry Mother state park. Horrible name, that came from a sad, sad story.
Back in pioneer days, a settlement was attacked by Indians. A mother and her small son escaped. After the mother collapsed after exhaustion, the small boy continued and actually found help. All he could say was "hungry mother".
The small boy lead the men of the other settlement to her, where they found her dead.
So....so close to Mother's Day, let's not forget this sad, sad story.
The value of a good mother.

Sports Fans
OK, I can't believe I have purposely watched the NBA over the last couple of seasons. It helps when you have a team that is winning, and playing an exciting brand of basketball. I can honestly say I'm a fan of the NBA. Well, maybe that's too strong. I won't be watching any game that the Hawks aren't playing in.
Anyway, we won the first round against the storied Celtics. Now its' time to get our butt handed to us by LaBron James. Oh well

Birthday Months
This is a big year for birthdays. I'm turning 40. Grace will turn into a teenager. Collins will turn into double digits. Jack will turn 5 and start kindergarten in August. My last FIRST day of school for my kids.
We had kids scattered across a long time. It's taking a long time to get some of these firsts out of the way.
I think back to when Gracie was born, and I was a GPM over Sanitation at Tyson. Actually, I might have just been the Superintendent.
Anyway.....Jack's birthday is Thursday. Going to take him to Six Flags. Should be fun...and chaotic.

Donald Trump
People who hate Donald Trump:
They look at the other candidates who are career politicians and seem to sense some sort of huge drop off that I'm not seeing.
I look at Trump...I look at the other candidates, and I say "eh....what the heck".
Truth be known, I can already cast my vote for "NOT HILLARY".
Dynamite Kid
I didn't realize how much of a bad man the Dynamite Kid was (of British Bulldog fame). I'm going to read his book, the next wrestlers' autobiography for me to enjoy
life update
Well, Collins made the Heat, which isn't anything we really wanted but nonetheless we are kinda excited about. It means more baseball.
Had a great Easter. We are headed over to Nana's and Baba's to get a chocolate bunny this weekend. The Easter bunny got the kids Six Flags season passes, which is great because I've wanted them for years.
Gonna be a busy few months.
